Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski Win Australian Open Men’s Doubles in first Slam Appearance

Christian Harrison and Neak Skupski have hit the ground running in 2026.

The American-British tandem defeated the all-Aussie pair of Marc Polmans and Jason Kubler 7-6(4), 6-4 to win their first major title in one hour and 49 minutes. Harrison claims his first major title, while Skupski, the 2023 Wimbledon champion, nets his second.

“Unreal experience,” said Harrison, who made the ATP Finals last year with Evan King. “This place is unreal to play. The crowds are incredible. For me, though, it was just simple. Just focused on just enjoying the moment with my partner. He brings a lot of experience. His level is just so high, and it really felt easy for me to just play my best tennis. So credit to him.”

Kubler and Polmans rallied from 2-5 down to force a first-set breaker, but Harrison and Skupski won the final four points of the set.

A service break in the third game of set two cracked the door further open for Harrison and Skupski. They saved the only break point they faced in set two and converted their second championship point.

“It’s obviously nice to get another Grand Slam. I was very close last year at the US Open and lose narrowly in the French,” Skupski said. “I look back on last year and kind of went over to see where it went wrong in the moments, and I learned from it. Yeah, Christian has given me a new lease of life this year.”
