"From the day I took the racquet for the first time so far I've worked, hard-working, sweaty for tennis and achieving my goals in this sport."Those trophies, despite being a simple symbol, remind me every day because I'm still training, getting on the court, and trying to improve on every occasion."
Vinci called the theft "a gesture of cowardice and stupidity" and said it will not rob her of the memories, sacrifices and commitment she invested into earning the silverware."Stealing these trophies has been a gesture of cowardice and stupidity, but I would like to know who is now in possession of memories, tears, sweat, fatigue, smiles, commitment, sacrifices to achieve these goals," Vinci wrote. "They can't take them away from anyone, neither to me nor to the people who have walked along with me along this road."Photo credit: St. Petersburg Open ]]>
