Turin Tragedy: Two Fans Die at ATP Finals

Tragedy struck Turin on the second day of play at the ATP Finals.

Two elderly male fans died of illness in separate incidents inside the Inalpi Arena and outside the arena in the fan village.

A 78-year-old man fell ill in the stands before 2024 finalist Taylor Fritz faced Italian Lorenzo Musetti in today’s opening singles match. That man was taken to Molinette hospital where he later died, Italian news agency La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports.

Earlier, a 70-year-old man was overcome by illness at the Fan Village outside of the arena. He took was taken to Molinette hospital where he passed away.
