Five people—including two players—have been provisionally suspended for “likely” corruption violations.
The two tennis players—Alana Tuayeva (Russia) and Nikol Palecek (Serbia)—and three national level tennis officials, Marko Ristic (Serbia), Zsolt Bagosi and Tamas Tarnai (Hungary) were all provisionally suspended under “likelihood of major offense,” the International Tennis Integrity Agency announced today.

None of the five elected to appeal the provisional suspensions.
Here’s the rule they’re alleged to have violated from the ITIA’s news release on the case:
[Rule] F.3.b.i.4 reads: ‘There is a likelihood that the Covered Person has committed a Corruption Offense which is above Category C2 of the Sanctioning Guidelines and in the absence of a Provisional Suspension, the integrity of tennis would be undermined and the harm resulting from the absence of a Provisional Suspension outweighs the Hardship of the Provisional Suspension on the Covered Person.’
The 26-year-old Tuayeva, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of No. 1282 in September 2025, has been provisionally suspended since December 19th, 2025.
The 22-year-old Palecek, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of No. 1248 in June 2021, has been provisionally suspended since December 24th, 2025.
Ristic’s provisional suspension began on December 17th, 2025, while Bagosi and Tarnai have been provisionally suspended since December 24th, 2025.
During their provisional suspensions, the individuals are “prohibited from officiating at/playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorized or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.,” the ITIA announced.
