Djokovic Passes Lendl to Hit ATP Rankings Milestone

Novak Djokovic has clocked another rankings milestone. The current No.1 hits 271 cumulative weeks at No.1 this week, passing Ivan Lendl and moving into third on the ATP’s all-time list for weeks at No1.

Djokovic is currently in Tokyo where he is making his debut at the Rakuten Open. Djokovic trails Rafael Nadal by nearly 2000 points in the Race to London standings so he has some ground to make up if he is to finish the year at No.1.

If Djokovic can manage to finish the year at No.1 he would tie Pete Sampras for the ATP’s all-time lead in year-end No.1 finishes with six. ]]>
