Coco Gauff has hit the ground running in 2023.
The 18-year-old World No. 7 powered through the ASB Classic draw in Auckland, dropping just 22 games across four matches as she claimed her third career WTA Title.
Gauff, who reached her first major final last year at Roland-Garros, defeated Spain’s Rebecca Masarova in Sunday’s final, saving all ten break points she faced to win in 75 minutes.
Gauff beat Tatjana Maria (6-4, 6-1), Sofia Kenin (6-4, 6-4), Lin Zhu (6-3, 6-2) and Danka Kovinic (6-0, 6-2) to reach the final. She wins her third title from four career WTA Finals.
