Sabalenka, Gauff, Osaka Headline Wimbledon Draw Top Half

If you are looking for blockbuster matchups heading into the second week of Wimbledon, look no further than the top half of the Ladies’ singles draw.

A plethora of former major champions, along with some formidable opponents, will be ready to book their spot in the quarterfinals.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka found her way past a potentially tricky opponent in former Roland-Garros champion Jelena Ostapenko 6-4, 6-4

Next up for Sabalenka is four time major champion Naomi Osaka.

No. 7 seed Coco Gauff survived a stern test from fellow American Claire Liu 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-2 to reach the fourth round once again.

She next faces last year’s semifinalist and No. 11 seed Belinda Bencic.

And also in this section is former 2024 champion Barbora Krejcikova. She defeated fellow Czech Nikola Bartunkova 6-3,7-5.

Now she faces another Czech in No. 10 seed Karolina Muchova
