Masters winning streak hits 28

Sinner has won 28 consecutive matches at the Masters 1000 level, dating back to the start of his title run in Paris last autumn. The Italian, who has won 56 of his last 58 sets at Masters events, set the record for the longest Masters 1000 winning streak in history at Rome.

Five Consecutive Masters Titles

Sinner has now won five Masters titles in succession, without skipping one, for the first time ever. He is the first player to win the first four Masters 1000 titles of the same season in history.

Only Novak Djokovic has ever won six Masters titles in a single season. If he chooses to play, Sinner will have four chances – Rome, Canada, Cincinnati and Shanghai – to tie and break that record.

Winning streak hits 23

Sinner has won 23 matches in succession since falling to Jakub Mensik in Doha. The Italian has won 46 of 48 sets on that span, dropping sets to Tomas Machac in the round of 16 at Monte-Carlo and Benjamin Bonzi in the round of 64 in Madrid.

Eight of Nine

Sinner is now the second man in history to win eight of the nine Masters 1000 events. He can join Novak Djokovic as one of two men to complete the full set if he wins Rome in two weeks. Djokovic has completed the set – known as the Golden Masters – twice.

Sinner has already reached the final at all nine Masters events. Only Djokovic, Federer and Nadal had previously achieved this feat.

The fastest Madrid final ever (on clay)

The previous quickest was when Zverev lost to Alcaraz in 2022. Today’s one-sided affair lasted just 58 minutes.
