Iga Swiatek is living the dream at the Nadal Academy in Mallorca. Having recently hired Francisco Roig, Nadal’s former longtime coach, the queen of clay is putting in the hard yards on the red clay, with Nadal joining the fun and even adding some of his own wisdom.

Fears of Swiatek backsliding after parting ways with Wim Fissette last month have quickly been replaced by optimism as the six-time major champion’s latest coaching decision has clearly been a longtime dream in the making. It remains to be seen how Swiatek will play with Roig at the helm, but it’s easy now to see why Swiatek made the decision at this critical juncture.
