Simona Halep Tests Positive for Covid-19
World No.2 and two-time Grand Slam champion Simona Halep has tested positive for Covid-19. The Romanian posted news on social media early Saturday, saying that she was self-isolating and experiencing mild symptoms.
Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that I tested positive for COVID-19. I am self-isolating at home and am recovering well from mild symptoms. I feel good… we will get through this together 🤗💪

The Romanian is one of fairly few top-level WTA players to test positive this year. Marketa Vondrousova, the World No. 20, tested positive ahead of last week’s event in Ostrava, and Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya has also tested positive.On the men’s side, more top players have tested positive, including world No.1 Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric, Lucas Pouille and several others. ]]>
