Simona Halep became the WTA’s 25th No.1 after the China Open, becoming the first Romanian to ever claim the WTA’s top spot.Now she’s the year-end No.1.Karolina Pliskova’s loss to Caroline Wozniacki on Saturday at Singapore means that the Romanian will become just the 13th player in WTA history to hold the year-end No.1 ranking.Garbiñe Muguruza will finish No.2, with the winner of Sunday’s final in Singapore—either Wozniacki or Venus Williams—finishing No.3.
