Aleksandrina Naydenova Banned For Life For Match-Fixing
Corruption has killed Aleksandrina Naydenova pro career.The 28-year-old Bulgarian has been hit with a lifetime ban and fined $150,000 after being found guilty of multiple match-fixing offenses, the Tennis Integrity Unit announced.Medvedev: No FlashbacksNaydenova, who reached a career-high singles rank of No. 218 in September of 2019, was found guilty of match-fixing in 12 incidents between 2015 and 2019. Additionally, she was charged and found guilty of failing to cooperate with the TIU investigation.Effective November 20th, 2020, Naydenova is banned from tennis for life. The former world No. 95th-ranked doubles player had been provisionally suspended December 27th, 2019 prior to her hearing.
