Norrie suffered blisters on his feet during his 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(3) Estoril final loss to Albert Ramos-Vinolas on Sunday that spanned two hour, 45 minutes.
Ramos-Vinolas denied the 25-year-old Briton his first ATP title and lingering blisters knocked Norrie out of Madrid.
The world No. 48 withdrew prior to his scheduled Mutua Madrid Open opener vs. Filip Krajinovic on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ramos-Vinolas was back at it facing American Taylor Fritz in his Madrid opener.
