Jakupovic was found guilty of "directly or indirectly" contriving or attempting to contrive the outcome of a match, according to the Tennis Integrity Unit. The specific match or matches were not revealed in the decision.
"Consistent with the confidentiality of the Anti-Corruption Hearing process, no further details of the Hearing or Decision will be made public," the Tennis Integrity Unity stated.
Jakupovic, who reached a career-high rank of No. 267 in 2008, played primarily on the Challenger Tour. He registered a 3-9 career record on the ATP Tour, earning $116,707 in career prize money.
The Athens resident represented Greece in Davis Cup. Jakupovic scored his nation's lone win in Bulgaria's 4-1 victory over Greece in the 2014 Davis Cup playoff tie in Athens. He concludes his Davis Cup career with a 21-28 record, including a straight-sets victory over Alexandr Dolgopolov in a 2007 Davis Cup clash.
