Ivan Dodig is not differentiating between IPTL and ATP-level tennis in the slightest. Check out the Croatian—paired with Rafael Nadal for last night’s match between the Micromax Indian Aces and the OBI UAE Royals—as he lays out for a dive volley and nearly gets back into the point before it’s all said and done.

Nestor and Berdych would claim this point but Nadal and Dodig took the set, 6-3, which helped power the Aces to a 30-18 victory.

In men’s singles Nadal defeated Berdych, 6-5, in his IPTL debut.

Nadal had some great things to say about the IPTL experience after the match. “I heard some wonderful things about the IPTL from the players last year,” he said. “I was looking forward to playing last year too, but had to pull out because of my appendicitis injury. But I’m really excited to be playing here today. It’s a great format, its superbly organized, all the players love [it], and it’s great for the sport of tennis to be able to go to new markets.”
