Djokovic Trades in Racquet for Club at Ryder Cup All-Star Game

By Chris Oddo | @TheFanChild | Wednesday September 27, 2023Novak Djokovic, two-sport GOAT? Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves, but the World No.1 did show off some surprisingly good golf technique during his appearance at the Ryder Cup All-Star game on Wednesday.

Djokovic played alongside Kipp Popert as part of Colin Montgomerie's team, which also featured soccer star Gareth Bale. The 24-time major champion, a seven-time Wimbledon champ, seemed to enjoy getting back on the grass, even if he had a different gadget in his hands."It's such an honor, a golden opportunity for a once in a lifetime experience," Djokovic said on the first tee. "Thanks to all the fans for coming and putting a bit of extra pressure on us on the first tee. It's a unique experience."

Djokovic’s team won 3-1, and the Serbian legend managed some spectacular shots, along with a noteworthy duff."I've never played golf in front of this many people, so considering my level I think I've played quite well," Djokovic said.
