Venus Williams and Longtime Coach David Witt Part Ways
Venus Williams and longtime coach David Witt have parted ways. Witt coached Williams for over a decade.Ravi Ubha, tennis journalist, broke the news on Monday.
Venus Williams has cut ties with her long-time coach David Witt, according to Witt. It was an 11-year partnership, with Witt a hitting partner, then coach.

We’re still waiting for an official announcement from the Williams camp, regarding potential coaches for the 38-year-old seven-time major singles champion. Williams reached two Grand Slam finals in 2017, but slipped in 2018 and finishes the season ranked at 38 in the world.
