Wozniacki faced off against No. 2 seed Roberta Vinci of Italy in Sunday's final. Despite Vinci holding a 2-1 lead in their overall head-to-head, today would be all about the former No. 1.

After jumping out to an early 3-0 lead in the opening set, Wozniacki kept her momentum going. That included fighting off all three break points against her. Despite Vinci trying to hold her serve during a lengthy sixth game, the Italian couldn't do it.

Wozniacki broke again and soon served out the set to love 6-1.

With Wozniacki using her trademark defense to near perfection, the second set became a carbon copy of the first.

The top seed secured an early break and thwarted Vinci on every turn. Vinci would net a volley down break to hand Wozniacki a 4-1 lead.

Wozniacki fought off a few more break points on her serve and quickly found herself with match points. She sealed the win after Vinci netted a final forehand.

After just 67 minutes, Wozniacki celebrated the 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Despite the loss, Vinci can take comfort in having now reached back-to-back finals in the last two weeks.

Istanbul is now the first title of the year for Wozniacki. Currently ranked No. 15, Wozniacki has now won at least one WTA title each season since 2008.
