Contesting his third final of the season, the 26-year-old Belgian won his first title since the 2014 Metz.
It is Goffin’s third career title. He raised his finals record to 3-6.
Goffin, who was runner-up to Grigor Dimitrov in Sofia and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Rotterdam earlier this season, took charge in the final set.

The second seed won 12 of 14 points played on his first serve and did not face a break point in the decider. Dolgopolov, who entered the final leading the tournament in service games won (95 percent) and first-serve points won (84 percent), won just five of 11 first-serve points in the decider.
Dolgopolov, who beat Kei Nishikori to win Buenos Aires earlier this year, fell to 3-6 in ATP finals, including a 1-2 mark this year. The 28-year-old Ukrainian is projected to rise to No. 40 in the new ATP rankings.
The 26-year-old Goffin collected the champion's check for $118,910.
