They join a list of 19 of the world's Top 20 in Wuhan, including Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova, Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka, Venus Williams, Ana Ivanovic and Eugenie Bouchard.
World No. 1 Serena Williams is not playing the Chinese tournament.
“I’m very excited and I really appreciate this wild card that the tournament organizers in Wuhan have given me,” said Hantuchova. “It's incredible how women's tennis has grown in China and obviously Wuhan is one of the highlights of our Asian trip. It's amazing how well organised and how great the facilities are there. I'm really looking forward to playing in front of the Wuhan crowd."
Qualifying gets underway on Friday in Wuhan.
The qualifying player field includes British players Heather Watson and Johanna Konta, rising Belgian standout Alison Van Uytvanck and Australians Casey Dellacqua and Aija Tomjanovic.
Friday, the first day of qualifying, is free of charge to the public.
