Winning the biggest title of her career in Singapore has inspired Agnieszka Radwanska to try to lose a major label.

After scoring a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Petra Kvitova in the WTA Finals title match, Radwanska said she hopes the championship serves as a springboard to a Grand Slam breakthrough.

Widely regarded as one of the best players yet to win a major championship, the world No. 5 is eager to shed that label in 2016.

"Well, for sure (it) gives me more confidence, especially that in a Grand Slam you also to have win and beat couple of top players in a row," said Radwanska, who beat Simona Halep, Garbine Muguruza and Kvitova in succession in Singapore. "I think here it's even harder because just eight of us and you don't have any first rounds to used to the courts. But definitely a good start. I'll definitely try to (win a Grand Slam) next year."
