Muguruza: Some Sexism in Tennis

Tennis is one of the few sports that pays equal prize money to men and women at top tournaments.

Garbine Muguruza says an inequity still exists in the sport: Sexism.

"I did an interview a couple of months ago.They were asking me if I think that there is some sexism," Muguruza told the media in Rome. "I said I think so, yes, because sometimes I'm in interviews and I see some photos, and what sells more, it's the look sometimes or the photo is just a sexy photo and it's not just a sport photo."

The 2015 Wimbledon finalist believes the situation is changing as women gain positions of authority in sport.

"I think it's just because in the past men were like leading more sports," Muguruza said. "Now it's changing. And we have some more women in the top level. So I think this will change with time. But I felt sometimes that (sexism is) happening."
