France's former Davis Cup captain Arnaud Clement has reached an out-of-court settlement with the French Tennis Federation (FFT), who released him last September. Clement had sued the FFT for 1.5 million euros following his dismissal, but the FFT says that the matter has now been officially resolved.

"The FFT and Arnaud Clement announce they have reached an agreement on the differences between them following the end of his captaincy of the French Davis Cup team," the FFT in a statement.
Clement was replaced by former French Open winner Yannick Noah as French captain. According to reports, candidates were interviewed before the move was official, and the federation's decision to pick someone new was leaked even before it had begun an official review of Clement’s captaincy.
Clement led the French to the Davis Cup final in 2014, but came under fire after France lost to Great Britain in 2015.
