Haas Takes Direct Approach To New Post


The busiest man in the Indian Wells field is pushing buttons on his smart phone more than swinging a racquet these days.

Tommy Haas has hit the ground running in his debut as BNP Paribas Open tournament director. Haas succeeded Raymond Moore as tournament director. Moore resigned a year ago after taking sexist shots at women’s tennis during an Indian Wells press conference that went viral.

Haas had his own Genie in the bottle moment hanging out with Genie Bouchard on the practice court.

The tournament director crashed the Crashed the practice of Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev praising both as “dark horses” and “role models.”
