Naomi Osaka and Zheng Qinwen met in the round of 16 at Rome last month, with the Chinese star edging Osaka 6-2, 6-4. They’ll meet again next week on the Berlin grass, in the first round.
Sixth-seeded Zheng will frace Osaka for the third time overall – the pair have split those meetings with Osaka coming through a three-setter in San Jose in 2022.
Coco Gauff takes her spot at the top of the draw, with Aryna Sabalenka seeded No.2 and Elena Rybakina seeded third.
The top four seeds get byes in Berlin.
