The grass-court Grand Slam issued seedings for The Championships, which start on Monday, June 28th.

Evert: Federer Faces Monumental Task at Wimbledon

Reigning Wimbledon men's champion Djokovic is playing for a sixth Wimbledon title—and a 20th Grand Slam crown to match the men's mark shared by rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who has opted out of Wimbledon.

Russian Daniil Medvedev, runner-up to Djokovic at the Australian Open, is seeded second followed by French Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas with reigning US Open champion Dominic Thiem, whose status is in jeopardy after he injured his right wrist at the Mallorca Championships yesterday, is seeded fourth. Alexander Zverev is the No. 5 seed with eight-time champion Federer seeded seventh.

On the ladies side, 2019 Roland Garros champion Barty is seeded first followed by reigning Wimbledon champion Simona Halep with Aryna Sabalenka seeded third.

Elina Svitolina is the No. 4 seed, Sofia Kenin is seeded fifth, 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu is the No. 6 seed with Serena Williams, who is playing for a 24th Grand Slam championship to match Margaret Court's all-time mark, seeded seventh and 2020 Roland Garros champion Iga Swiatek as the No. 8 seed.
