Second Serve

We are scratching our heads about the tube socks on German Philipp Petzschner at this year's Wimbledon. (Has he been watching too much Euro 2012 coverage?) The German, in Erke, seems to have received advice from the 'Lady Gaga of Tennis,' Bethanie Mattek-Sands, who's been doling out pearls of fashion wisdom to the gals -- even to the guys -- on the tour.

Petzschner, the two-time Slam doubles titleist with partner Jurgen Melzer ('10 Wimbledon and '11 U.S. Open), went down in five sets to 31st seed Florian Mayer in the second round of Wimbledon. Mayer is in that top half of the draw with Djokovic. (Draw: See how the rest of the bracket
has stacked up.)
