The former No. 1 and US Open champion took to social media platform Periscope to answer fan questions about Wimbledon. As expected, Roddick didn’t mince words about the state of the game.

Roger Federer, who beat Roddick in several Wimbledon finals, was a large part of the conversation based on fan questions. When asked about his upcoming match against American Steve Johnson, Roddick brought up the subject of their slice backhands.

On the subject of who might retire first - Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal, Roddick gave this answer. On the state of American women’s tennis today, Roddick is very enthusiastic. Finally, Roddick was asked a question on perhaps the future career of his new son, Hank. The answer? Perhaps, not tennis. Roddick, a three-time finalist at Wimbledon, said he might live commentate a match from Wimbledon on Periscope next week. Stay tuned.
