Emma Raducanu has hit another watershed moment.
The US Open champion has signed on as global brand ambassador for Evian.
“It’s an honor to join the Evian team," Raducanu said in a statement. "Evian is an iconic brand and a champion of tennis and the younger generation – that’s why I’m proud to join the Evian roster of Global Brand Ambassadors.
"Being an athlete, healthy hydration continues to be of the upmost importance to my day-to-day activity so I’m excited to partner with evian and can’t wait to see what’s next.”
The now 19-year-old Raducanu set several records at Flushing Meadows becoming the first qualifier, male or female, to win a Grand Slam in the Open era; the youngest Grand Slam winner since Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon in 2004 and the first Briton to win a women’s Grand Slam singles title since Virginia Wade at the 1977 Wimbledon Championships.
Arriving in New York ranked No. 150, Raducanu has rocketed up the rankings to No. 19 after her inspired run that saw her become the first woman since Serena Williams in 2014 to win the US Open without surrendering a set.
Raducanu's dynamic game, charming personality and competitive spirit has earned her a devoted global fanbase and sparked a life-changing period. Raducanu has emerged as an endorsement queen. She signed on as the face of Dior in October weeks after she was named brand ambassador for Tiffany & Co.
Evian has a history of sponsoring tennis stars, including James Blake, Maria Sharapova and Stan Wawrinka.
Now, Raducanu joins pop star Dua Lipa as an Evian global ambassador.
