The fifth-ranked Russian, who is vaccinated, announced he has Coronavirus and is isolating in Spain in a social media post.

"I am currently in Barcelona and unfortunately I tested positive for Covid-19," Rublev said on Twitter. "I have isolated myself and respect all protocols under the supervision of the doctors.
"As you all know, I am completely vaccinated and I was preparing for the next tournaments,"
The 24-year-old Rublev, who won the Mubadala World Tennis Championship title in Abu Dhabi earlier this month, is the latest star who traveled to the UAE to test positive for the virus. Rublev joins Rafael Nadal, Denis Shapovalov, Belinda Bencic, Ons Jabeur, Emma Raducanu and Nadal's coaches, Carlos Moya and Marc Lopez, in testing positive.
Rublev, who will isolate for 10 days, will likely miss Russia's defense of its ATP Cup championship next month but suggests he's still hopeful of traveling to Melbourne to play the 2022 Australian Open, which starts on January 17th.
"Now I have to recover and will travel to Melbourne only when it is completely safe for everyone," Rublev said. "I'm worried about what happened, please take care of you and take care of the people around you. He will return to the court as soon as possible."
