The Arthur Ashe Kids Day, a daylong celebration of all things tennis, will feature eight celebrities this year, including Novak Djokovic, women's champion, Kim Clijsters, and crowd favourite, Rafael Nadal.

The Bank of the West Classic, a tournament in the six-week-long Olympus US Open Series, began in earnest at 10:00 (PST), yesterday morning. The event, which is women-only, and has been since the inaugural match was played in 1971, will feature Grand Slam hopefuls, Serena Williams, Ana Ivanovic, and Maria Sharapova, among others.
