19-year-old Victoria Mboko makes her Top 20 debut on Monday, as the Canadian rises to No.18 on the heels of her second career title. Mboko, who also won her maiden WTA 1000 title in Montreal this summer, triumphed in Hong Kong this weekend, defeating Cristina Bucsa in the final.

Remarkable, considering the Montreal native was barely inside the Top 350 as recently as January. She jumps three spots from No.21 this week.

Mboko made her Grand Slam debut in May at Roland-Garros, and went on to reach the third round. She struggled after winning the title in Montreal, but has rebounded in Asia, winning seven of her last eight matches across appearances in Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Eala and Tjen on the Rise

Mboko is the second highest-ranked teenager on the WTA Tour, behind only Mirra Andreeva. Currently six teenagers are inside the WTA’s Top 100.

In other news, Alexandre Eala rises one spot to become the first woman from the Philippines to ever hold a Top 50 ranking, at No.50.

The second biggest riser in the Top 100 is Janice Tjen of Indonesia, who has parlayed her Chennai title into a career-high ranking of No.53. Tjen, up 29 spots, is the second highest-ranked player in Indonesia’s history.

Bucsa, the Hong Kong runner-up, jumps 14 spots to No.54, a career-high.

Anna Blinkova, who won the Jianxi title, rises 32 spots to No.63 – the biggest jump in the Top 100.
