Tien, Michelsen, Set to Join Shelton and Tiafoe at 2026 River Oaks
Two top young Americans will compete on the red clay of Houston this spring.
Rising Americans Learner Tien and Alex Michelsen set to return to Houston in the spring.
The duo joins a field that already includes a pair of past champions – 2023 winner Frances Tiafoe and 2024 champ Ben Shelton – for the March 28-April 5 ATP tournament at River Oaks Country Club.
Tien and Michelsen, both Southern Californa natives, enjoyed solid seasons in 2025. Tien earned five Top-10 wins and rocketed up the rankings into the Top 30, while Michelsen won 25 matches. Both reached the second week at the 2025 Australian Open.
