Special Delivery: Alcaraz Presents World Cup in Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk

Carlos Alcaraz is accustomed to playing for major silverware on Grand Slam final Sundays.

Reigning US Open champion Alcaraz returned to the New York area to deliver a prestigious trophy in a trunk.

Louis Vuitton Ambassadors Alcaraz and Hoyeon, alongside FIFA legends, Andrés Iniesta, Spanish soccer player who won the World Cup in 2010, and Mario Kempes, Argentinian soccer player who won the World Cup in 1978, presented the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy in its official Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk just before the final at New York/New Jersey Stadium.

One of the world’s most coveted trophies was presented to Alcaraz’s home nation of Spain, which dethroned defending-champion Argentina, 1-0, after dominating regulation play. Argentina was denied its quest to become the third nation in history to defend the World Cup in what was likely legendary Lionel Messi’s final game for Argentina.

Sporting a shaggier hairstyle than the close-cropped hair style he wore while defeating archrival Jannik Sinner in the 2025 US Open final, a stylish Alcaraz sported a Louis Vuitton beige silk-cashmere single-breasted suit, a white shirt and beige LV Jazz Loafers.

Hoyeon wore a Louis Vuitton pink satin braid embroidered dress with keyhole from Cruise 2027 Collection with a pair of brown leather Sneakerina, the brand said in a statement.

Alcaraz, who missed Roland Garros and Wimbledon recovering from a right wrist injury, is on the entry list for next month’s Cincinnati Open and if his wrist permits it, he aims to defend his titles in Cincinnati and the US Open in what could be a busy time of chasing trophies rather than presenting them.
