22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal will make his first competitive appearance in the US since retiring from professional tennis in November 2024 when he headlines The MGM Slam Presented by Capital One on February 28, 2027, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The 40-year-old Spaniard, who won a record 14 Roland-Garros titles, last played in Las Vegas in 2024, when he faced Carlos Alcaraz in a sold-out exhibition match streamed worldwide on Netflix.
“Now I return in a different stage of my life, without the pressure of the tour but with the same passion for this sport,” Nadal said. “I have always loved competing, and even if my professional career is finished, that feeling never really goes away.”
Nadal will be joined by some of the world’s top ATP players at the event, which will be held for the fourth consecutive year. The rest of the field, along with the competition format and broadcast details, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Brazil’s Joao Fonseca won the 2026 edition, defeating American Reilly Opelka in the final.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. PT via AXS.com. MGM Rewards and AXS members will have access to a presale beginning Tuesday, October 27, at 10 a.m. PT and running through Thursday, October 29, at 10 p.m. PT, while supplies last.
