Now, the former world No. 9 is getting his kicks in his new career as a football (soccer) player.

Bautista Agut has signed on to play with . CD Els Ibarsos. The owner of 436 career match wins and 12 titles wasted no time creating a presence on the pitch.

Bautista Agut scored two goals in his squad’s 4-2 preseason victory.

Playing football, Bautista Agut is fulfilling his second childhood dream.

“A new phase. One that makes me very happy,” said Bautista Agut, who previously played for the youth Villarreal CF team in his younger years.

The man nicknamed RBA joins a fellow former Top 10 pro The Dominator, Dominic Thiem, in successfully transitioning from tennis to pro soccer.
