Sam Groth will close the curtain on his 13-year career after the Australian Open.The 30-year-old Melbourne native will retire after the Melbourne major, set for January 15-28th.More: Djokovic, Wawrinka Set for December ReturnThe rigors of global travel and diminishing desire caused Groth to struggle “with the whole life on the tour thing.”“It’s been something I’ve been thinking about since Wimbledon,” Groth told The Herald Sun's Leo Schlink in announcing his retirement.
