Defending champion Janice Tjen continues to run the table at the Chennai Open. The World No.75 notched a 6-3, 6-4 win over American Robin Montgomery on Saturday to improve to 9-0 at the event.
Is Chennai starting to feel like home to her?

“Can’t lie,” she said. “I think it is.”
24-year-old Tjen will bid for her second career title on Sunday after a solid victory over the No.151-ranked southpaw. The former world No.35 improves to 20-28 on the season.
“It’s nice to be back in the finals here, especially after a tough year,” she said. Being back in the finals, it’s an amazing feeling to have.”
Tjen hit 22 winners against 23 unforced and saved six of seven break points to win in 83 minutes. She converted three of her six break points to improve to 3-0 in WTA semifinals.
Montgomery had two break points to take the lead in the sixth game of the second set, but could not convert. She had her chances on Saturday but could manage just the one break of serve.
Tjen will face Magda Linette, who defeated Anastasia Zakharova 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 in Saturday’s second semifinal, for the title.
