Alcaraz, Sinner, Back in Action in Tokyo, Beijing

500-level events in Tokyo and Beijing feature the ATP's top players this week.

Sinner and Alcaraz Wimbledon final 2025
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will be back in action on the ATP Tour this week, with world No.1 Alcaraz taking to the hard courts of Tokyo, while Sinner will take to Beijing for the China Open.

Alcaraz, fresh off an appearance in Laver Cup in San Francisco over the weekend, is slated to face Sebastian Baez in first-round action. Here’s his path to what would be a 24th ATP title. 

  • Round 1: Baez 
  • Round 2: Bergs or Tabilo 
  • Quarterfinal: [8] Tiafoe 
  • Semifinal: [4] Ruud or [7] Shapovalov 
  • Final: [2] Fritz

Over in Bejing will face former Slam champion and former Beijing finalist (2009 and 2011) Marin Cilic in a tricky first-rounder. Sinner is 37-5 on the season, and will take the court for the first time since losing in the US Open final to Alcaraz.
