(May 17, 2011) Roger Federer has continually remained collected, calm, and confident despite his recent losses before the finals and people claiming that he is "done." Clearly inspired by this relaxed attitude, Federer shares how he achieves relaxation in his new campaign commercial with Credit Suisse- Dedication, Determination, and Motivation. Check out this video:
Credit Suisse claims to have been "Helping Roger Relax since 1981." Where was Roger in 1981? He was being born! He was born on August 8, 1981 to Robert and Lynette Federer in Basel. So if we are going by the claim, we can give the credit to a bank for Federer's composure and relaxation on and off the court.
Examples of how Federer has showed his relaxation and confidence in words:
Before his loss to Richard Gasquet in the third round in Rome on clay, Federer said, "It's not as if I'm losing in the first or second rounds. I feel I'm playing well myself. Apart from Novak not losing all year not much has changed in the game. Everybody can play well on all surfaces these days."
After the match not much changed as far as the calm attitude is concerned, Federer said, "Sometimes it is unfortunate because I was playing well and then it didn’t happen at all any more so it was a disappointing end to the match. But it will not affect my preparation and work for the French Open, I will be fine."
Is this relaxed attitude hurting him or helping him?
After winning the first tournament of the year in Doha against Nicolay Davydenko, in 2011 Federer has lost to:
