(May 5, 2010) Marko Djokovic came up one point short of earning his first career ATP Tour victory in his hometown of Belgrade.

Wild card Marko Djokovic, the 18-year-old younger brother of top-seeded Novak Djokovic, held a pair of match points, but could not convert in suffering a 7-6(5), 5-7, 0-6 loss to Italian Alessio Di Mauro at the Serbia Open.

The Belgrade baseliner served for the match at 5-4 in the second set and held match points, but could not convert as Di Mauro rallied to reel off nine consecutive games and close out a two hour, 25-minute victory.

"Of course I'm disappointed. I had my chances and couldn't take them," Marko Djokovic said. "A win in today's match would have meant a lot: No more qualies at futures and most of all a great match-up against (Stanislas) Wawrinka."
