At a tournament filled with upsets, the four women left at the Collector Swedish Open in Bastad find themselves each with a shot at the title.

ATP: Zverev Continues Hamburg Run With Quarterfinal Win

No seeds remain at the WTA International event. That includes top seed Alize Cornet who lost her opening round match earlier in the week. Friday's quarterfinals continued the theme of higher ranked players finding themselves exiting earlier than expected.

Germany's Mona Barthel is now the highest ranked women left in the draw. She earned that distinction by knocking out Kaia Kanepi of Estonia in their quarterfinal 6-2, 7-6(4).

Barthel will next play Spain's Silvia Soler-Espinosa who won 6-3 6-2 over Alexandra Panova.

Slovakia's Jana Cepelova also finds herself in the final four after snapping a recent losing streak before this week started.

Cepelova, who reached the Charleston finals back in April, entered Bastad having lost six main draw matches in a row since then. But this week, Cepelova turned her fortunes around.

Currently ranked No. 71 in the world, Cepelova fought off Yulia Putintseva to earn a 6-4, 7-5 victory.

Next up for Cepelova will be South Africa's Chanelle Scheepers. The South African needed three sets before defeating Lara Arruabarrena 6-2 4-6 6-3.
