Czech teen Linda Fruhvirtova continues to impress on the WTA Tour.

The 17-year–old qualified for the US Open and reached the second round just weeks ago, and has climbed to 130 in the WTA rankings this week, from 296 at the start of the season.

She’ll go higher next week, thanks to a run to the semifinals in Chennai.

Fruhvirtova defeated second-seeded Varvara Gracheva, 6-4, 6-3 to reach the semifinals, where she will face Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska for a spot in the final.

The Prague-born teen lives and trains in Prague, but also spends time at the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy in Nice, France. She is the older sister of Brenda, the 15-year-old who has gone 36-5 at the ITF level this season (and one WTA-level event) to rise to 233 in the WTA rankings.

The sisters are the highest-ranked players that have yet to turn 18 on the WTA Tour.

Great Britain’s Katie Swan will face third-seeded Magda Linette of Poland in the top-half semifinal at Chennai.
