Garbiñe Muguruza battled from a set down to claim a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Timea Babos at the Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Spaniard claims her sixth career title but it was far from easy as she was made to work after falling behind by a set and 2-0 to Babos. Muguruza was pushed the whole way but eventually rallied back in set two and broke in the final game of the set to draw even; she then expanded her lead with a crucial break for 4-2 in the decider.
Muguruza did not face a break point in the final set and won the final two points to seal her victory as a Babos forehand sailed long.
She finished with 22 winners winners against 31 unforced errors and broke serve three times on 11 opportunities.
Muguruza improves to 5-0 lifetime against Babos with her win, which took two hours and 20 minutes to complete.
Muguruza has now won five of her last six finals, and improves to 6-4 lifetime in title matches.
