The US Open is the nation's biggest tennis celebration.
Fans are playing their part pumping up the party.
After Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz stunned third-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas, he credited the raucous Arthur Ashe Stadium crowd for helping him get over the finish line. Hours later, fellow 18-year-old Leylah Fernandez dethroned defending champion Naomi Osaka the Canadian left-hander thanked fans for inspiring her to a massive upset.
"[The crowd] made a huge difference," Fernandez said. "Thanks to New York and New York fans over here they helped me get a win."
On Louis Armstrong Stadium, one fan's skill draining the joy juice earned her a rousing reaction from the crowd during Felix Auger-Aliassime's five-set win over Roberto Bautista Agut on Louis Armstrong Court.
Every time she drained a beer, fellow fans erupted in cheers. US Open sponsors Heineken or Grey Goose should seriously consider this fan as a brand ambassador.
Fans figure to keep the party pumping tonight.
