Novak Djokovic had a difficult time at the US Open, where he missed out on a chance to win his 18th major title when he was defaulted for hitting an umpire with a ball during his round of 16 match against Pablo Carreno Busta.
But it’s not all bad for the World No.1. He’s back on the clay, joining the Road to Roland Garros this week at Rome, and he’s also cracked a massive milestone this week, tying the great Pete Sampras for second on the ATP’s all-time weeks at No.1 list.
Here are the top six players on the list, or all the players that have held the No.1 ranking for at least 200 weeks.
1. Roger Federer, 310 weeks
2. Novak Djokovic, 286 weeks
3. Pete Sampras, 286 weeks
4. Ivan Lendl, 270 weeks
5. Jimmy Connors, 268 weeks
6. Rafael Nadal, 209 weeks
