The exhibition ias part of the Oracle Pro Series–Dallas, a women’s ITF World Tennis Tour $25K event to be held at SMU from October 20-27th, 2019. For tickets and more information, please visit oracleproseries.com.
Gauff gained global attention earlier this summer when she became the youngest person in the Open era to qualify for Wimbledon. She defeated seven-time Grand Slam singles champion and former World No. 1 Venus Williams in the first round before falling in the fourth round to eventual champion Simona Halep. The Floridian followed up that performance by winning the doubles title in Washington, D.C., with partner Caty McNally, and reached the third round of the US Open.
While the women’s event is being held in Dallas, a men’s ITF World Tennis Tour $25K event will be held at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth during the week of October 20-27th.
Both tournaments are part of the recently-launched Oracle Pro Series, which will include more than 25 new ATP, WTA and ITF World Tennis Tour professional tournaments in the United States over the course of 2019 and 2020. The Series will create more than 40 percent new playing opportunities in the United States for tennis professionals.
