Gasquet wraps Tomic's drop shot around post - ESPN Video
France's Richard Gasquet hit perhaps the shot of the US Open so far as part of a shotmaking clinic in his third round match.

The No. 12 seed Gasquet faced off against No. 24 seeded Bernard Tomic of Australia for a spot in the fourth round. Early on, Gasquet hit winner after winner against a flat-looking Tomic. Soon enough, Gasquet found himself up two sets to love in just an hour.
But the Frenchman saved his best stuff for the third set. In the second game, Gasquet threatened to break Tomic again. Tomic hit what looked like a near perfect drop shot. Yet the speedy Gasquet chased it down near the net and then hit around the post a perfect forehand crosscourt winner.
Tomic congratulated Gasquet with a fist bump and then the Australian requested that the shot be replayed on the Grandstand court t.v. monitor.
With a final ace, Gasquet went on to complete the 6-4, 6-3, 6-1 win.
Gasquet now joins fellow Frenchmen Jeremy Chardy, Benoit Paire, and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the fourth round. This is the first time in the Open Era that four Frenchmen have reached this stage at the US Open.
