Serena Williams notched another WTA milestone on Monday when she hit 260 weeks at No. 1, tying American legend Chris Evert for third-most on the all-time list. That was great, and we’ll write more about it after the jump—BUT THIS WAS EVEN BETTER:

We’ve all been accustomed to Serena’s outrageous (and outrageously funny) social media posts, but something about this one is extra special. It was so good that it cause ESPN to ask “Is Serena Williams Running Away and Joining the Circus?”
Nah, that wouldn’t be Williams’ style. She’ll just add “Circus Freak” to the other titles on her resume, which also includes “21-time major champ,” “Double Serena Slam Slammer,” “Fashion Mogul,” “Actress,” “Part-Time Comedian,” “Karaoke Champ,” "Headphone Connoisseur" and much more.
Now, getting back to Williams 260 weeks at No. 1. Williams still trails Martina Navratilova (332) and Steffi Graf (377). Still a couple more years to go for the 34-year-old to break that record. By that time she’ll be a bona fide circus legend. Williams has held the No. 1 spot for 137 consecutive weeks as of today, her longest streak of her career by far. The longest streak of all-time is Steffi Graf’s 186.
