Sekou Bangoura's Amazing Shot--Was it Legal?
American
Sekou Bangura
pulled off a big upset of
Dustin Brown
at the Tiburon Challenger on Tuesday. He also pulled off the shot of the day. Watch as the World No. 226 makes a ridiculous play on a ball that appears to be headed right into his body. Somehow, he gets the racquet (or did he?) on it and plops it over the net, forcing Brown to do the splits and come up empty.
After the point Brown looks angrily at the umpire as if to say “No way did he play that shot with only his racquet.”
Come to think of it, we’ve watched it about 50 times, and we are wondering the same thing. Was it a clean shot or not?
